On February 29, 2024, Electrobras clients visited and inspected the 1100kV Guquan Converter Station built by our company. As an important landing station of the Changji-Guquan ±1100 kV ultra-high voltage DC transmission project, Guquan Converter Station plays a pivotal role in the field of power transmission.
With a total investment of over 8 billion yuan and covering an area of 415 mu (approximately 40 football fields), the station is of immense scale. It is responsible for converting the DC power transmitted from the Xinjiang Changji Converter Station over long distances into AC power to supply the Yangtze River Delta region. It serves as a crucial bridgehead for power transmission to the Yangtze River Delta region, transmitting 683.73 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, setting a new historical high. The Guquan Converter Station plays a vital role in receiving and converting this power, ensuring the reliable power supply of East China.
This visit not only allowed Electrobras clients to directly experience the strength of China's ultra-high voltage transmission technology and the operation of the Guquan Converter Station, but also laid a solid foundation for further exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of electricity.
